Sometimes you just need that extra boost of confidence to push you long. Will, an everyday kid who wants to do it all, jumps into new situations with help from his best friend, cheerleader and morphing frog pal, Dewitt.

As many of you know, from earlier posts, the Six Aces gang designed the episodic fun packs for the first season of Will & Dewitt (creating characters, props and layouts for the show). And even though we will not be the ones receiving the award, we are still very excited and proud to have been a part of the production.

We'd like to wish Cookie Jar good luck, and we hope Will & Dewitt takes home the award!

For more information on the 2008 Gemini Awards, click here or for more on Will & Dewitt, click here.

Producers of Will & Dewitt; Susie Grondin, Michael Hirsh, Pamela Slavin, Toni Stevens and Toper Taylor are from Cookie Jar Entertainment Inc.

Six Aces Farewell

(Pic: Terry Ververgaert, Justin Morison, Brandon Gasner & Leo Martin)

Six Aces Productions would like to say 'thanks and good luck' to two of its finest; Leo Martin and Terry Ververgaert.

Both members of the original six, Leo and Terry worked on developing Public Service Announcements, Saskwatch and designed on the kids' animated series Will & Dewitt.

As part of the creative department Leo kept everyone smiling and laughing at his numerous impressions and jokes, while Terry was always good for some weekend stories.

Both ex-directors have signed on to offer their services in the industry; Terry with Keyframe Animation and Leo with Starz Animation in Toronto.

Thanks for all the memories and hope you'll be back soon.

Digg It!

We've added the Digg It feature to our blog, so if you like any of our posts, be sure to DIGG IT!

Some more PSA Characters

We'd like to give a shout out to Jarrett Young for being the sexiest animator out there today (no offense to anyone else who believes to be the sexiest animator out there today).

Now on to some serious business. Here are some more characters from the PSA short. The mother and kid are supposed to be of Trailer Park persuasion and spend a small amount of time on screen. We are going to be trying some techniques that we haven't really seen used yet (til then, it's our little secret).

Enjoy!
------
For those of you who are interested in animating in Flash, or being a poser, we will be posting some of the PSA .fla's for educational purposes once the film has been completed.

Saskwatch Officially Optioned

Six Aces has successfully optioned our first original property, created by Terry Ververgaert and the rest of the Gang.

A Canadian series based in Kidney Bean National Park where nature reigns far and wide.
